As a SADC-member passport, a South African passport generally enters Mozambique visa-free for tourism stays up to 30 days — no ETA and no eVisa needed. This page explains the current rules and the few situations where you might still want a hand.
SADC-member passports, including South Africa, generally enter Mozambique visa-free for short tourist stays with no online pre-authorisation. Double-check with your carrier before travel, as rules can change.

You still pass through immigration and must satisfy the entry conditions below, so it pays to have your documents in order.
